AbstractWhen brooding bamboo partridges, temperature differences and lighting duration need to be well controlled to increase the survival rate. During bamboo partridge farming, attention must be paid to always ensuring adequate drinking water and maintaining good indoor air quality to avoid triggering stress responses in the bamboo partridges. When feeding bamboo partridges, balanced nutrition must be provided; feeding them maggots or insects can increase their egg production.

I. Hatching and Brooding

After bamboo partridges hatch, brooding is required; brooding can be done in plastic greenhouses, or a dedicated brooding room can be built. During the brooding period, attention must be paid to regulating the temperature, maintaining it at around 20°C. Newly hatched bamboo partridges need balanced lighting 24 hours a day, which can increase the survival rate of the chicks.

II. Growing Period

Bamboo partridges need fresh, clean drinking water replaced every day, and they must be given time to move freely outdoors, fly and forage. When the bamboo partridges return to their coops at night, the air inside the housing must be kept fresh. Management personnel should not be noisy when entering and leaving, so as not to disturb the bamboo partridges' rest or startle them into running about, which can cause stress responses; severe reactions may result in death.

III. Feed Formulation

When raising bamboo partridges, their growth and development create a relatively high demand for vitamins and trace elements. In daily feeding, the proportion of vitamins and trace elements needs to be increased so that the nutrients they take in are relatively balanced, which can effectively promote healthy and rapid growth of the bamboo partridges. Feeding bamboo partridges fresh maggots or other insects can also increase their egg production.
