AbstractSanhuang bearded chickens are first raised by hand for about one month, then released for free-range rearing, which can reduce cost input and maximize profits. During the brooding period, Sanhuang bearded chickens need a comfortable rearing environment, with good control of temperature, humidity and sufficient lighting time. From the growing period, free-range rearing begins; the chickens' activity range must be enclosed with wire to ensure their safety and prevent attacks by other animals. After three months they enter the mature period and can then be sold.

1. Brooding period

Before the young Sanhuang bearded chickens enter the coop, the coop needs to be thoroughly disinfected, then appropriately repaired inside, the temperature adjusted to about 30°C, the humidity kept at about 60%, the lighting time kept at 23 hours, and the drinking water placed in a conspicuous place for the chicks to use easily.

2. Choose healthy and vigorous chicks

Observe whether the Sanhuang bearded chickens have the strength to struggle, whether their calls are crisp enough, whether the navel closure is good, and whether the feathers are relatively clean; usually such chicks are relatively superior. These young Sanhuang bearded chickens adapt to the coop environment; do not enter the coop to clean for 15 days, and let the young Sanhuang bearded chickens drink water as soon as possible after entering the coop.

3. Folded growing period

After living in the coop for about one month to one and a half months, Sanhuang bearded chickens can be released for free-range rearing. A mountain hollow area can be chosen, with trees and flowing water all around, but attention must be paid to the chicks' safety; wire is needed around them as isolation to prevent the natural enemies of Sanhuang bearded chickens from attacking them, thereby also preventing the Sanhuang bearded chickens from running around randomly.

4. Mature period

Generally after three months they are about to begin maturing, so you can start looking for suitable buyers. At this time the Sanhuang bearded chickens can forage on their own, but attention must be paid to their health.
