1. Building the duck house. As for temperature, generally around 25°C to 31°C is the best brooding temperature. As for light, generally 23 hours of light is better.
3. Feeding management. In terms of drinking water, you need to maintain clean water quality every day, and it is best to disinfect its containers every day. As for feeding, when the ducks are small, you can choose the technique of feeding multiple times a day; for larger ducks, you can use the method of feeding three meals a day. For the feed, you can choose some corn, green vegetable leaves, and so on that they relatively like to eat for feeding, and you can use the method of foraging, just placing food at a fixed point every day.
4. Proper free-range grazing. When Gaoyou ducks have grown for about five weeks, they can be properly put out for free-range grazing. In winter, you need to avoid early morning and evening, because the temperature at these times is relatively low. In summer, avoid the high-temperature periods at noon and in the afternoon.
5. Daily management. Every day you need to do a good job of cleaning the duck house, clean it in time, and remove its droppings. You also need to ventilate it in a timely manner. During high temperatures in summer, you need to do a good job of cooling the inside of the duck house. In winter, you can add some straw mats inside the duck house to achieve a certain warming effect.
Disease Prevention and Control Work for Gaoyou Ducks
When Gaoyou ducks are being farmed, they can very easily be attacked by some diseases, so when they are ducklings, you must do a good job of vaccinating against duck plague and other aspects. Normally, strengthen observation. If the ducks do not like to eat, or if the duck droppings are abnormal, you must promptly do a good job of prevention and control, find out the cause, and solve the problem from the root. If it is an infectious disease, do a good job of isolation and treatment, and then disinfect the duck house and some commonly used containers.
