What factors affect crucian carp farming yield?
SummaryThe yield of crucian carp can generally reach about 4000 jin/mu, and their yield has a certain relationship with water quality, stocking density, and feed feeding. Adjust the density according to different fish sizes. When the size is about 60g/fish, the stocking density is about 1600 fish/mu. Crucian carp can be mixed-cultured with silver carp and bighead carp. The stocking amount of silver carp and bighead carp is about 10% of that of crucian carp, and they should be stocked after the crucian carp can float up to compete for food. Feed feeding needs to be adjusted at different stages of crucian carp.
The yield of crucian carp has a certain relationship with water quality, stocking density, feed feeding, etc. Generally, in ponds with better water quality, the per-mu yield of crucian carp under high-density farming can reach 3 thousand-5 thousand jin.
1. Stocking density
The stocking density should be adjusted according to the area of the farming pond, fish size, and management conditions. Generally, the stocking density of fry is about 8000-12000 fish/mu. After a period of farming, when the size reaches 50-60g/fish, adjust the density to about 1500-1800 fish/mu, and farm until the size is about 350-400g.
2. Mixed-culture combination
Crucian carp can be mixed-cultured with silver carp and bighead carp. The stocking proportion of silver carp and bighead carp only needs to be controlled at about 10% of the number of crucian carp. The stocking time of silver carp and bighead carp must be grasped well to avoid affecting the domestication of crucian carp. To ensure sufficient food intake for crucian carp, they must not be mixed-cultured with aggressive fish such as common carp and grass carp.
3. Domestication
Adding an appropriate amount of feeding attractants to the feed for crucian carp can increase the area and quantity of crucian carp feeding, and can also shorten the domestication time. To improve the success rate of domesticating crucian carp, some bream with feeding speed and taste matching can be stocked in the pond.
When the stocking density in the pond is relatively high, domestication is easier. When determining the density, the water level in the pond can be appropriately lowered to increase the stocking density, which can not only promote the success rate of domestication, but also improve the growth speed of the fish school. After the crucian carp can independently float up to compete for food, a certain proportion of silver carp and bighead carp can be stocked into the pond.
4. Growth speed
The growth speed of crucian carp differs in different months. The most suitable temperature for crucian carp growth is 25-29°C. In July-August, there is a period when the water temperature is higher than 30°C, which affects the growth speed of crucian carp. Early September to early October is when crucian carp grow fastest.
Different varieties also have different growth speeds. At present, the varieties that are more commonly farmed are Yiyin crucian carp, Pengze crucian carp, and Xiangyun crucian carp. Among them, Xiangyun crucian carp has the fastest growth speed, Yiyin crucian carp is second, and Pengze crucian carp has the slowest growth speed. Because Pengze crucian carp has a relatively good appearance, the main export at present is Pengze crucian carp.
5. Feed feeding
When farming adult crucian carp with a size of 50-100g, fry feed can be fed. For crucian carp with a size of 100-200g, special crucian carp feed No. 1 can be fed. For crucian carp with a size above 200g, mainly crucian carp feed is fed. According to the above feed feeding method, normal growth of crucian carp can be ensured, the feed feeding coefficient can also be reduced, and the size of commercial crucian carp can be ensured.
