AbstractIn general, the average yield of farmed black carp is about 2000 jin per mu. If black carp are farmed at high density and large size, the yield per mu can reach about 4000 jin. The specific yield depends on the size of the fry, the density and the farming conditions. If you want to increase the yield, you need to control a reasonable density during the farming period, maintain a suitable water level in the pond, and choose nutrient-rich feed for feeding. Later, you also need to do a good job of disinfecting the black carp and preventing and controlling diseases.

How much is the yield of farmed black carp per mu

Black carp is a fish species farmed at high density. The yield of black carp is closely related to the size and density of the stocked fry and the farming method. If 3-5 jin black carp are selected and about 220 are stocked per mu, the yield per mu is about 2000 jin. If 5-10 jin market-ready fish are selected and about 200 are stocked per mu, and scientific and reasonable farming methods are used, the yield per mu can reach as high as about 4000 jin.

How to increase the yield of black carp

1. Water depth requirements

For many kinds of fish, the farming water depth should not exceed 2 m, but for farming black carp the water depth must be increased. High-yield ponds generally maintain a water depth of about 2.5-3 m. For high-density farming of large black carp, the water depth should be increased even more to expand the range of activity for the black carp. When the pond water is relatively deep, the temperature at the bottom is also stable in winter, so it is more suitable for the survival of black carp.

2. Disease prevention and control

1. Pond cleaning and disinfection: 15 days before putting fish into the pond, quicklime can be spread at a concentration of 180-230 g/cubic meter or trichloroisocyanuric acid at 3-5 g/cubic meter for disinfection. After the pond is dried in winter, remove excess sludge from the pond, let it freeze or sun-dry until it cracks, and then repair the surroundings of the pond and the drainage outlet.

2. Fry disinfection: Before stocking the fry, soak them in a potassium permanganate solution at a concentration of 10-15 g/cubic meter or a 3%-5% salt solution for about 5-10 minutes, and then slowly put the fry into the pond to avoid disease caused by body damage during transportation.

3. Feed disinfection: The feed to be fed must be clean and fresh. Fresh live snails and clams can be selected, washed and fed. Green feed should be soaked in a 3-5 mg/L bleaching powder solution for 20-30 minutes, and then the feed should be mixed with or sprayed with liver and gallbladder recovery agent and vitamin C to prevent liver and gallbladder diseases in black carp.

4. Feeding ground disinfection: Disinfect with bleaching powder about 2 times per month, using 250 g each time, dissolved in about 12.5 kg of clean water, and then splash it at the feeding ground. During the season when fish diseases are prevalent, use chemical bags hung as a preventive measure. Each feeding ground can have 3-6 hanging baskets or bags, each containing 40-60 g of bleaching powder. The medicine should be changed once a day for 3 consecutive days each time.

5. Fishing gear disinfection: Fishing gear used in diseased ponds should be sun-dried for about 2 days, or soaked in a 10 mg/L copper sulfate solution for 30 minutes, or soaked in a potassium permanganate solution at a concentration of 300 mg/L. When separating and transporting black carp, avoid skin abrasions and frostbite to prevent inducing saprolegniasis.

3. Preferred feed

1. During the black carp farming process, soybean cake, wheat, corn, and snails are all relatively good feeds for feeding black carp. The feed ratio should be well controlled when feeding.

2. During the two-year-old fish stage, mainly feed corn, wheat and other highland barley feed. Feed once at around 7-9 a.m. and once at around 4-7 p.m. each day. The daily feeding amount should be 2%-4% of the body weight of the black carp in the pond. When feeding the feed, do it at fixed times and fixed locations. The highland barley feed can be put into a feeder, and some snails can also be mixed in during this period, with a ratio of 1:5 to the highland barley feed, so that feeding is uniform, thereby improving the quality and yield of black carp.
