Increase egg production: Supplement calcium and protein to increase egg production. Increase growth rate: Feed an appropriate amount of feed or wheat, corn kernels, etc., to enhance nutrition. Disease prevention: Do a good job of daily management, and regularly clean and disinfect the chicken coop.

Site Selection

Now many farmers choose to raise free-range chickens, because free-range chickens are raised in the open and eat only pollution-free, hazard-free natural food, so the taste of free-range chicken is more tender than that of ordinary chicken. The choice of site for raising free-range chickens is relatively important. It can be chosen in woodland or orchard, but a fence must be built around a certain area to prevent the chickens from escaping.

If raised in woodland and orchard, a biological chain can be formed. Both orchards and woodland have many small insects, and these small insects can be used as chicken feed, while the chicken manure can be used as fertilizer for the plants. The two are mutually beneficial, so choosing a good site is relatively important.

 Choosing Good Chicks

To raise free-range chickens, you must choose better chicks, because free-range chickens are mainly raised outdoors, and their disease resistance and foraging ability need to be relatively strong. So you can choose some fine breeds of the egg-laying type and the meat type specially used for meat after raising. Farmers should choose to introduce chicks from regular manufacturers, and vaccinate them in time, which makes raising easier and also relatively safer.

Increasing Egg Production

Farmers generally also require a certain egg production rate when raising chickens. Some free-range chickens either do not lay eggs, or the eggshells of the eggs they lay are especially thin. This is because the nutrition intake of free-range chickens is insufficient, so the chickens must be supplemented with calcium and protein, such as some corn kernels, wheat and soybean cake, etc. You can also supplement some feed that increases egg production, so that the chickens maintain a normal egg production rate.

Increasing the Growth Rate of Chickens

When the growth rate of chickens increases, the farmers' own interests will also increase, so many farmers want to speed up the growth rate of chickens. The growth rate of free-range chickens is relatively slow, because they mainly eat some natural food. So at this time you can feed the chickens some feed, or add some sweet potato, wheat, millet, corn kernels, etc., to improve the nutrition of free-range chickens, thereby increasing the growth rate of the chickens.

Disease Prevention

Because the chicks chosen for free-range chickens are all relatively strong in disease resistance, the general disease incidence rate of the raised chickens will not be very high, but precautions must also be taken against influenza disasters. Farmers can regularly clean and disinfect the chicken coop, and then use some limewater for disinfection, to prevent the breeding of germs.

Daily management must be done well during the rearing process. If sick chickens are found, they must be isolated from healthy chickens to avoid contagion. Also, young chickens cannot be raised together with adult chickens, because then the young chickens can get only limited food, and there is also a risk of being scalded, which will affect growth, so daily management must be done well.
