AbstractTemperature is hard to control: if the temperature is too high, the scorpions are prone to illness; if the temperature is too low, they tend not to eat and not to move. Management during the molting stage: scorpions are prone to cannibalism when molting, so scorpion nests can be built for protection and the farming density should be controlled. Feed sources: the feed must be sufficient and fresh, and scorpions eat live prey, so you can raise ground beetles, crickets, cockroaches, grasshoppers, spiders, flies, green worms and other insects yourself to feed the scorpions. Farming density: the density should not be too high.

1. Temperature is difficult to control

1. Scorpions, like snakes, turtles and frogs, are cold-blooded animals, that is, the common poikilothermic animals. Unlike ordinary warm-blooded mammals, their body temperature changes with the air temperature, and scorpions are relatively sensitive, so the temperature needs to be well controlled during farming.

2. If the temperature is too high, scorpions become prone to illness, while if the temperature is too low, they stop eating, stop moving and grow slowly. Those who start farming just in summer generally do not pay attention to regulating the temperature, while in autumn the temperature drops relatively slowly, which easily leads farmers to overlook it psychologically.

3. They only start controlling the temperature when it is already very low, while young scorpions born in summer have relatively high temperature requirements, so when breeding stock is introduced for farming in summer, the scorpions generally give birth to high-quality young, but the young scorpions do not grow well.

2. Scorpions have the characteristic of molting

1. When scorpions molt, if they are not handled well, cannibalism can occur, resulting in fewer surviving scorpions. Generally, when scorpions molt, scorpion nests can be built for protection, the farming density can be controlled, the temperature and humidity can be adjusted, and they can be fattened before molting,

2. which helps improve the scorpions' resistance and enables them to molt safely. Scorpions are different from mammals such as dogs and rabbits; scorpions cannot make sounds, so they cannot express their needs and give no obvious feedback. You can only rely on the farmer's careful observation and timely management.

3. There needs to be a sufficient source of fresh feed

1. Generally, scorpions eat live prey, so their food is also a difficulty. During farming, there needs to be a sufficient source of fresh feed, or you can raise ground beetles, crickets, cockroaches, grasshoppers, spiders, flies, green worms and other insects yourself.

2. When scorpions are farmed indoors, eating only yellow mealworms will just make the scorpions fatten and will not promote molting, whereas when scorpions are farmed in plastic greenhouses, generally if they eat more than 5 kinds of insects, the scorpions can molt smoothly.

4. Scorpions grow relatively slowly

Because scorpions grow slowly, it is easy for people to lose confidence during farming. Generally, the scorpion nests need to be opened to see large numbers of scorpions, because young scorpions have very little activity and are relatively sensitive to light and air. Unless high temperatures follow a period of low temperatures, it is very difficult to see large numbers of young scorpions coming out to move around.

5. The farming density has not been adjusted well

If the density is too high during farming, small scorpions will molt relatively slowly and molt unevenly. Many farmers feel that they have done everything well and have been relatively successful in farming large scorpions, but the small scorpions have not been raised well. Generally, simply adjusting the density will help improve the success rate of farming.
