How to Grow Potted Lingzhi (Reishi) and Daily Care Tips
The basic process for cultivating bonsai lingzhi is essentially the same as its cultivation process, except that a shape-induction technique is added. That is: ingredient mixing→bagging→sterilization→inoculation→spawn-running management→burying in soil and fruiting body emergence→shaping management→forming and processing.“For cultivating bonsai, during the cultivation process you must constantly consider floral art, such as what shape is more pleasing to the eye, what styling is more fashionable, and so on. At the same time, open up your imagination based on the shapes that grow.” So what is the method for growing potted lingzhi?
1. Temperature
If you want to grow lingzhi well in a flower pot, you need to strictly control the temperature, and it is best to keep it between 25-28°C. The temperature must not be too high or too low, and even at its highest it should not exceed 35°C.
2. Ventilation
When growing it in a pot, you must not overlook the issue of ventilation. If the indoor carbon dioxide level is relatively high, its growth will become very poor. You can open the windows more often during normal times, and you can also move it outdoors more often for care.
3. Light
Because lingzhi is a fungus, it is relatively sensitive to light. When growing it, you must pay attention to shading, at least 80% or more, and it definitely must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
4. Pest prevention
You can place insect repellent and camphor balls in the pot to prevent insects. To prevent dust or pest invasion, you can also cover the outside of the bonsai with an adhesive glass cover or a transparent soft plastic cover.
5. Humidity: During the care period, you need to spray it with some water every day, because it requires a high-humidity growing environment. The water used for spraying must be clean, and the water temperature must not be too low.
