Osmanthus is one of the traditional precious flowering trees of our country, and has always been favored by many flower growers. Nowadays, as cities become more and more bustling, people are increasingly inclined to cultivate osmanthus indoors. So what are the methods for cultivating osmanthus indoors?

Osmanthus prefers a warm, sunny environment and can also tolerate shade, but under full light its branches and leaves grow much more luxuriantly than when grown in shade. Osmanthus likes moisture and also has a certain tolerance to drought, but when watering, water must not accumulate. Its requirements for soil are not very strict either; apart from alkaline soil and low-lying land or soil that is too heavy and poorly drained, it can generally grow.

Osmanthus does not have high requirements for its growing environment, so it can be cultivated indoors. As long as the care methods are appropriate, there will be no false luxuriance and prosperity.

In winter, place the osmanthus on the balcony, seal the balcony tightly with aluminum alloy glass windows to prevent cold air from intruding, and use the glass windows and door to separate the balcony from the indoors to prevent heating from entering. Relying on the balcony's natural temperature can meet the osmanthus's dormancy requirements.

In spring, as the temperature gradually rises, gradually open the balcony windows so that the temperature inside the balcony slowly adapts to the outside temperature.

In summer, open the balcony door and windows as much as possible to maintain long-term air circulation. Also increase air humidity. You can lay a layer of bricks or water-absorbing matting such as cattail mats on the balcony floor, place the osmanthus on top, and frequently splash water on the matting so that it fully absorbs water, relying on the natural evaporation of moisture to create a humid environment for the osmanthus.
