The hydrangea is a flower variety native to China. When it blooms, each small flower gathers together to form a round shape, just like a ball embroidered with flowers, very beautiful. This has also made the hydrangea loved by many flower enthusiasts. Even many parks and scenic areas use this plant to decorate their surroundings. So what are the care methods and precautions for the hydrangea?

1. Light

The hydrangea prefers shade and dislikes sun. In spring, it is best to move it outdoors to a semi-shaded spot for care. In summer, it needs an appropriate amount of shading. In autumn, as the light gradually weakens, place it in a bright spot, which can promote flower bud differentiation. In winter, it can be placed in a sunny spot indoors.

2. Temperature

The hydrangea has a strong ability to adapt to ambient temperature. During growth, it can survive as long as the temperature is above 5 degrees. However, the most suitable temperature for hydrangea growth is between 18 and 28 degrees. The hydrangea gradually begins flower bud differentiation in spring. An environment of 20 degrees is most suitable for flower bud differentiation.

3. Water

The hydrangea likes moisture but fears waterlogging, so it should be watered frequently but not too much at one time. Water more in spring and summer, reduce watering appropriately after autumn, and reduce watering again after winter.

5. Precautions

1. Acidic soil. Besides normal watering, you can also mix one or two drops of salt-free edible vinegar into the water, which can lower the soil's PH value, thereby making the hydrangea grow better.

2. Timely pruning. During its growth period, pinch off the growing tips to promote the growth of side branches, and before winter begins, cut it short, which is more conducive to overwintering.
