What are the new vegetable growing techniques? Read this one article to understand
Vegetables are something we often have to eat, and they are rich in the nutrients the human body needs. Growing vegetables has good prospects, so, with the advancement of technology, what are the new vegetable growing techniques?
1. Seed selection
Choose good vegetable varieties that are high-quality, high-yield, early-maturing and resistant to diseases and pests.
2. Preparation before sowing
1. Before sowing or transplanting, clear the stubble and plow early, expose the soil to the sun, remove all remaining roots, stubble, branches and leaves, and eliminate the surviving sources of fungi and insects in the soil.
2. Do a good job of seed treatment: use warm water to soak the seeds, that is, soak them in warm water at 55 degrees for 40 to 15 minutes, which can kill the pathogens attached to the surface of the seeds.
3. As far as possible, adopt new techniques and new achievements from home and abroad. Such as nutrient-pot seedling raising, factory seedling raising, tissue culture, grafting, drip irrigation, plastic film mulching, etc. Start with cultivating strong seedlings and increase resistance to diseases and pests.
3. Field management
Reasonably carry out intercropping and relay intercropping; according to the different requirements of different vegetable varieties for light, water and fertilizer, you can adopt tall-and-short three-dimensional planting. Three-dimensional planting of different types of vegetable varieties, and three-dimensional planting of vegetables with edible fungi.
Strengthen management, thin and set seedlings in time, prune branches and remove shoots, cultivate and weed, remove diseased plants, and control the spread of diseases and insects.
4. Fertilization
1. Base fertilizer should mainly be organic fertilizer, and it must be fully decomposed to reduce the introduction of pathogenic bacteria and insect eggs.
2. Topdressing should mainly be decomposed manure and urine, supplemented by multi-element compound fertilizer, to prevent excessive nitrogen topdressing from causing excessive vegetative growth.
3. Use hormones and trace elements reasonably, and strictly follow the label instructions for concentration and dosage to prevent overdose from causing pesticide damage.
5. Disease and pest control
In control, achieve “based on physical and ecological methods, with biological pesticides in the lead, homemade pesticides in a supporting role, highly efficient and low-residue chemical pesticides adding power, and highly toxic pesticides not going into the field.”
1. Use ecological methods to prevent disease. Apply ecological management techniques such as temperature control, temperature regulation and high-temperature inhibition of bacteria.
2. Use physical methods to kill insects and weeds. Use black light lamps or a mixture of sugar, vinegar and wine with a small amount of pesticide to trap and kill pests; cover with insect-proof netting to keep pests out of the net, which can greatly reduce dependence on chemical pesticides. Cover with silver-gray shade netting to repel winged aphids, and blue film can better prevent and control weeds.
3. Vigorously promote biological pesticides and botanical pesticides. Use BT emulsion and Bacillus thuringiensis to control cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths and melon leaf borers; use Nongkang 120 to control cucumber anthracnose and fusarium wilt; use agricultural streptomycin to control bacterial angular leaf spot, Chinese cabbage soft rot and black rot; use attenuated vaccine to control viral diseases of cucumber and solanaceous fruits; use Jinggangmycin to control damping-off and root rot; use ET-107 aphid-killing agent to control aphids, and use Liuyangmycin to control red spiders; using EM as base fertilizer can improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil and effectively avoid some devastating diseases. Soaking seeds with EM has a clear effect of promoting seed germination. If EM is used as a foliar spray fertilizer, it can achieve a good control effect on diseases caused by Botrytis cinerea. There is also a new type of vegetable pesticide, nuclear polyhedrosis virus insecticide, which has also opened up broad prospects for the production of pollution-free vegetables.
4. Use chemical pesticides scientifically. You must conscientiously implement the "Regulations on Pesticide Administration" and the "Provisions on Safety Intervals for Pesticides", and it is strictly forbidden to use highly toxic and high-residue pesticides such as DDT, methamidophos and isofenphos-methyl.
Adopting current advanced new techniques to grow vegetables can reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests, improve the quality of vegetables, and thus achieve a high yield.
