Succulent plants look adorable and are very cute. Because they are small in form and do not take up much space, they are very suitable for placing on a desk or windowsill. In addition, succulent plants are highly adaptable and easy to grow, so in recent years there have been more and more succulent enthusiasts. So how do you care for newly planted succulents?

1. Clean, trim, and disinfect the roots

After buying the plant, first pour out all of the original soil. Then clean the roots, trying to eliminate germs and insect eggs in them. To avoid damaging the roots, be gentle when cleaning. Soak and rinse repeatedly until you can see white roots. After that, decide whether to trim them based on the specific situation. Cut off diseased roots and dead roots, and if necessary, cut off very long lateral roots. Then, soak it in a fungicide for about one hour; chlorothalonil can be used.

2. Choose a flower pot and pot the plant

Choose a suitable flower pot for it, then spray it with fungicide. You can choose a ceramic pot, resin flower pot, etc., and make sure there are holes in the bottom. Put the substrate into the flower pot, with slightly larger particles at the bottom layer and slightly smaller particles at the top. After that, plant the plant into it so that the soil completely covers the roots. Then press it down firmly, spray fungicide again, and let the soil appear slightly moist.

3. Light

Usually they like places with relatively good sunlight. However, in summer, care should generally be taken to provide shade to avoid direct sunlight, otherwise they will be sunburned. In other seasons, they can receive light all day.

4. Watering

Generally, keep the potting soil from becoming too moist. Usually, right after planting, you do not need to water. After about one week, you can slowly water an appropriate amount to help it resume growth. At the same time, it can be placed in a place with relatively good airflow. This is more beneficial to its growth
