Detailed Explanation of Red Mushroom Planting Techniques and Cultivation Management Methods
The red mushroom is a type of large mycorrhizal fungus, widely distributed around the world. In China, it is mainly distributed in Fujian, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Henan, Sichuan, Guangxi and other provinces and regions. Today we will introduce red mushroom planting techniques.
1. Site selection
Fungi all prefer shady and damp environments, and it is best if there is no direct sunlight. The soil chosen should be relatively moist, and it is best if there is flowing water nearby, as this facilitates the nutrient compost needed for the red mushroom's growth. However, to prevent waterlogging, drainage measures should be well prepared. The soil is best if it is black soil that has been composted, leveled into strip-shaped vegetable plots.
2. Laying material and sowing
Place the spawn on treated bedding material and let it develop on its own. The bedding material is generally formed from straw-type substances processed through water rotting. At present, the more commonly used is a mixed bedding material of corn stalks and rice straw. First soak it in water until thoroughly wet, then place it in a stuffy, hot environment to pile and rot for about three days. When it shows obvious soft rot, move it to the planting and cultivation base and cover it on the soil at a thickness of 2-3 cm.
3. Planting management
After sowing, decide whether to cover with soil according to weather conditions. When the temperature is below 15°, the soil can be arranged around the spawn in the style of a pit to achieve a cold-protection effect, and a layer of thermal insulation film needs to be covered on top. When the temperature is above 25°, this is not needed. Throughout the entire planting process, regularly check whether there is any withered spawn, and humidity should be controlled above 70%, so that the presence of moisture in the air can be clearly felt. After it grows mushroom caps, ensure that moisture can be clearly felt on the caps, and water in small amounts but many times. The red mushroom harvest period is generally twice a month and lasts about 2-3 months.
Most species of red mushroom are edible and are rich in nutrients with a delicious taste. They have the reputation of the “king of mushrooms” and are a natural nutritious delicacy with high nutritional value.
