Garlic sprouts are a cooking ingredient we commonly use in daily life, and they are cultivated in most parts of our country. With the development of technology, now garlic sprouts can be grown without soil. Let's talk about exactly how to grow them.

How to grow garlic sprouts without soil?

Pick some healthy, unbroken garlic cloves free of disease, then peel the cloves, being careful not to damage the garlic flesh. Put the peeled garlic cloves into a dish all at once and add a little water. When the water in the container starts to run out, add more water. After a period of time, fresh garlic sprouts will grow.

How to grow garlic sprouts with soil?

1. Seed selection and fertilization

Choose healthy, unbroken garlic cloves free of disease, and classify them into three grades: large, medium and small. Three days before sowing, put the garlic cloves into a container and soak them in water according to grade. Change the water once a day so the garlic seeds fully absorb water and germinate faster. At the same time, deeply plow and level the planting site, apply 5000 kg of organic fertilizer and 40 kg of potassium sulfate, work the fertilizer down to a depth of 25 cm and prepare the soil finely.

2. Sow at the right time

It is suitable to sow garlic sprouts when the temperature is 17-19°C. Before sowing, make beds 1.5 m wide and open furrows along lines 20-23 cm apart (10 cm deep), then place the garlic cloves at a spacing of 5 cm, and finally cover with a thin layer of soil.

3. Field management

Build a 30 cm framework over the bed surface, cover it with a shade net or straw curtain for shade, and remove the shade shed after the seedlings emerge evenly. After the garlic seedlings emerge evenly, carry out the first topdressing, which can be watered on with urea or dilute human and livestock manure water. In short, follow the principle of light fertilizer applied frequently. At harvest time, apply fertilizer once for each harvest.

Growing garlic sprouts without soil can be done right at home, and you can also experience the fun of planting yourself. Friends who are interested can give it a try.
