How to Treat Grape Fungal Diseases?

1. Downy mildew

Prevention in advance should be the main approach; once conditions favorable to the occurrence of downy mildew appear, integrated control should be carried out promptly. Common protective fungicides include: Yibao, copper preparations, Daconil, mancozeb, flumorph, and azole compounds. However, copper preparations and mancozeb are not safe to use before bagging, as they can easily cause phytotoxicity and are not recommended. Curative agents include dimethomorph, cymoxanil, cyazofamid, kresoxim-methyl tebuconazole, and oxadixyl. When controlling the disease, protective agents and curative agents should be used in combination. You can also use picoxystrobin at 2000 times, picoxystrobin at 2000 times, fluopicolide at 2000 times, Bayer propamocarb hydrochloride at 1500 times, and other agents for treatment.

2. In the early stage, prevention should be the main approach, mainly spraying protective fungicides such as thiram, procymidone, and iprodione; if the disease occurs, agents such as boscalid at 1000 times, cyprodinil at 800 times, iprodione at 1000 times, procymidone at 1500 times, and pyrimethanil at 1200 times can be selected for treatment.

3. Black pox

After the grapes leaf out and before the fruit colors, spray once every 10-15 days. Among these, spraying before flowering and when 70%-80% of the flowers have fallen is the most important. Pesticides can include Bordeaux mixture at 1:0.7:200-240, 65% zineb wettable powder at 500-600 times, 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 1000 times, or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 600 times. Mancozeb at 600 times and 1.5% polyoxin at 800 times have a very good effect on controlling black pox.

4. Powdery mildew

Therefore, you need to apply pesticides according to the different grape fungal diseases and their severity, so as to achieve twice the result with half the effort.
