Chili pepper is a common vegetable and seasoning, loved by many people, and there are quite a few farmers who grow chili peppers. So what pesticides are generally used for chili peppers?

1. Mosaic virus

A viral disease caused by cucumber mosaic virus, tobacco mosaic virus, cowpea mosaic virus, etc. On diseased plants, the upper leaves first show a mosaic of dark green and light green, and in severe cases become wrinkled, deformed and yellowed; diseased plants grow weakly, with shortened internodes and few deformed flowers. Use dimethoate, alkaloids, fenvalerate, imidacloprid, etc. to kill insects, and sterol, glucan, moroxydine•zinc sulfate, Sophora flavescens·sulfur (virus nemesis) to kill viruses.

2. Viral disease

A viral disease caused by tobacco mosaic virus, cucumber mosaic virus, etc. In the mosaic type, the diseased parts lose green irregularly, and the diseased fruit is deformed and slightly wrinkled. In the yellowing type, the diseased leaves turn yellow (the upper part turns completely yellow), with dwarfing and leaf drop. In the necrotic type, there is mottled and striped death, top blight, etc. In the deformed type, the diseased leaves thicken, become smaller, wrinkle, and become fern-like, the internodes shorten and the plant dwarfs, the branches and leaves become filamentous and clustered, and the diseased fruit is deformed, uneven, and easily falls off.

Spray with chlorobromoisocyanuric acid, alkanol•copper sulfate, alkene•hydrocarbon•copper sulfate, mixed fat·copper sulfate, moroxydine·copper acetate, amino-oligosaccharin, lentinan, ningnanmycin, octylamine acetate, etc. Dinucleotide triazole, tridecylguanidine, copper abietate, alkaloid fungicides and brassinolide.

3. Bacterial wilt

A bacterial disease caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. The fine roots of diseased plants turn brown and then rot away; when the diseased stem near the ground is cut crosswise, slight browning of the vascular bundles can be found, and a milky white bacterial fluid is secreted. In the later stage, the diseased plant rapidly wilts and dies, while the stem and leaves remain green. At transplanting, soak the roots with agricultural streptomycin sulfate and metalaxyl-hymexazol, and drench the roots with bactericides (copper hydroxide, zhongshengmycin, copper-ammonia complex). Before disease occurs, inject non-pathogenic Ralstonia solanacearum to occupy the ecological niche for control. Use xinzhiromycin, streptomycin sulfate, bacterial wilt specific agent (zhongsheng thiabendazole), duofu zinc bacterial amine, qixiaofu genkang, and spray or drench.

4. Soft rot

A bacterial disease caused by Erwinia carotovora and fungi of the genus Rhizopus. It mainly damages the fruit; in the early stage, water-soaked dark green spots appear, which later turn brown, yellow, and rot. The fruit easily falls off under external force, and when broken, a decaying liquid flows out; if it does not fall off, it hangs and dries to a white skin. Use cotton bollworm to control cotton bollworm, and use duofu·zinc, duofu·thiodiazole copper, duofu xin·bacterial amine, and genkang for spraying and drenching.

5. Black spot

A disease caused by fungi such as Didymella and Mycosphaerella, as well as bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas. It mainly damages the fruit, first showing irregular light brown sunken lesions (one spot per fruit), which later become large lesions. Spray with chlorothalonil, sandofan, and metalaxyl·mancozeb.

6. Chili pepper scab

Also known as bacterial spot disease, it is a disease caused by the pathogen Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria. It mainly damages the leaves; many small lesions appear on diseased leaves, raised on the underside and sunken on the upper side, causing large-area leaf drop and infection, and causing fruit rot. When transplanting, spray new high-fat film to shorten the seedling recovery period, and use chili pepper stalk strengthener to strengthen the seedlings. Kasugamycin, aimiao emulsifiable concentrate, zhuangmiaoling. Spray with leaf blightazole, difenoconazole, agricultural streptomycin, and copper-ammonia complex aqueous solution. Mancozeb, chlorothalonil, sulfur, zhongshengmycin, copper hydroxide, ningnanmycin, and hydrated mycin.
