1. Sufficient Light

Pineapple is not very cold-tolerant. During winter cultivation, it needs to be placed in sunlight so that the pineapple can carry out photosynthesis, promoting better growth. This also prevents the pineapple from being damaged by frost at low winter temperatures, allowing it to pass through winter safely.

2. Temperature Control and Keeping Warm

Keep the growing temperature for pineapple between 5 and 10°C. If it is planted in the ground, a layer of plastic film can be laid over it, and a shed can also be built for the pineapple so that it can grow better.

3. Control Water and Stop Fertilizing

How does pineapple safely overwinter? Watering and fertilizing are also very important. During the special period of winter, do not blindly water and fertilize it. Under normal circumstances, water only once every half a month, and do not apply additional fertilizer to the plant, otherwise it will affect the plant's normal growth. Be sure to pay attention during winter cultivation.

4. Proper Pruning

During winter cultivation, pineapple can be pruned appropriately. In this way, when the climate gradually cools as winter begins, the pineapple's withered and diseased leaves have all been cut off, which can reduce unnecessary waste of nutrients.

Fengli and pineapple are biologically the same fruit. In the market, Fengli and pineapple belong to different fruit varieties: pineapple has “inner spines” after peeling that need to be removed; while Fengli has no “inner spines” after the outer skin is removed, and there is no need to cut grooves with a knife.
