Cyclamen is a common ornamental plant, and many people grow cyclamen. But if cyclamen picks up a disease, it becomes very troublesome, so how do you treat cyclamen diseases?

1. Gray Mold

Cultivation control: strengthen greenhouse ventilation and lower the temperature appropriately; avoid mechanical damage to prevent the pathogen from entering; promptly remove diseased leaves to reduce sources of the rot fungus; fertilize rationally to avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer.

Spraying chemicals: before the disease occurs, regularly spray protective fungicides, such as 75% chlorothalonil at 800-1000 times dilution, or 1:1:200 Bordeaux mixture. When the disease occurs, spray therapeutic fungicides, such as 70% thiophanate-methyl at 800-1000 times dilution, or 50% Junling at 800-1000 times dilution, or 50% carbendazim at 500-800 times dilution, or 65% zineb at 500-800 times dilution.

2. Anthracnose

Cultivation control: before sowing, the seeds should be disinfected with sodium hypochlorite, potassium permanganate, or mercuric chloride. After diseased leaves are removed, they should be burned promptly, and when watering, try to avoid wetting the leaf surface.

Chemical control: you can use amobam at 800-1000 times dilution, or 1:1:200 Bordeaux mixture, or carbendazim at 500-800 times dilution for spray control.

3. Soft Rot

Cultivation control: soft rot is mainly transmitted through soil, so potting soil must be thoroughly disinfected, and chloropicrin fumigant can be used for fumigation; during high summer temperatures, pay attention to maintaining air circulation and appropriate shading, apply less chlorine fertilizer, moderately control moisture, try to avoid injuring the plants, and promptly remove and burn diseased leaves.

Chemical control: you can regularly spray 1000 times dilution of medical-grade streptomycin, or regularly spray 1:1:200 Bordeaux mixture for control.

4. Wilt Disease

Cultivation control: the potting soil and flower pots for cyclamen should be thoroughly disinfected; water rationally to avoid the potting soil becoming too dry or too wet; promptly discard diseased plants, bury them deeply, or burn them.

Chemical control: use carbendazim at 500-800 times dilution, or benomyl at 2000 times dilution as a soil drench for control.

These are the common methods for preventing and controlling cyclamen diseases. Everyone should do a good job of prevention and treatment according to the plant's growth conditions.
