How should the season for planting reishi mushrooms be chosen?
I think there is no need for me, the editor, to introduce reishi mushroom much; everyone should know about it. It is a very precious traditional Chinese medicine. In ancient times in our country, reishi mushroom was generally used as a life-saving traditional Chinese medicine, and its price was very high, so reishi mushroom was very rare.
Choice of season for planting reishi mushroom
In central Hunan, short logs can be inoculated from March to April; for substitute materials, inoculation and cultivation can begin in late April and early May, inoculation ends in late July and early August, and harvesting ends in early October. Under natural conditions, reishi mushroom mainly grows in broad-leaved forests with suitable rainfall, a warm climate and alternating density, and wild reishi mushroom is often seen near the ground surface of felled trees and fallen trees or at tree roots. It grows every year in summer and autumn, stops at the end of autumn, and sprouts again when spring warms the following year. Therefore, according to the growth and development characteristics of reishi mushroom, a suitable season and site should be chosen for cultivation.
First, the cultivation season. Reishi mushroom likes high temperatures, and the suitable temperature for fruiting is 25-28°C. For artificial bag-cultivated reishi mushroom, in South China it is generally suitable to make spawn in mid-February and cultivate from late March to early April; in North China it is best to make spawn in mid- and late April and cultivate in mid-May. For log cultivation, in southern regions prepare logs in November-December, inoculate in December, bury them in soil from late February to early March of the following year, and finish harvesting the first batch of reishi mushroom by the end of June; in northern regions prepare logs in February, inoculate in March, and finish harvesting the first batch of reishi mushroom in mid-July.
How to plant reishi mushroom for high yield
1. Choose a suitable cultivation period: In Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, the most suitable cultivation period for reishi mushroom is April 10 to May 10, and bags are opened one after another to produce reishi mushroom after May 20. June to July each year is the plum rain season, so it is necessary to ensure that all bags are opened to produce reishi mushroom before June 10, so that the fruiting bodies of reishi mushroom can grow in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment, thereby achieving high and stable yields.
2. The culture material must be fresh and dry: The culture material for cultivating reishi mushroom must be especially fresh and dry. Fresh culture material is rich in nutrients and contains few contaminating microorganisms, which is beneficial for the germination of mycelium and inhibits the growth of contaminating microorganisms.
3. Ventilation and air exchange during the spawn-running period: Reishi mushroom is an aerobic fungus, so during the cultivation process of reishi mushroom, attention must be paid to ventilation and air exchange. When making reishi mushroom sticks, it is best to seal the openings with plastic and cotton plugs. For fungus bags tied with plastic rope, after the mycelium covers the surface, small holes must be pierced at both ends of the bag for ventilation.
4. Reasonable water spraying during the fruiting period: During the growth of the fruiting bodies of reishi mushroom, the air humidity in the reishi mushroom room is required to be 85%-95%. Under conditions of suitable ambient temperature, too low humidity will make the fruiting bodies of reishi mushroom thin and small, or even stiff and unable to develop. In the early stage of fruiting body formation, water management mainly consists of spraying water on walls, bed frames, floors and spaces. After the cap diameter of reishi mushroom is greater than 3 cm, the number of water sprays should be increased along with greater ventilation, 3-4 times a day, and it can be sprayed directly on the reishi mushroom.
5. It is advisable to use the imitation-wild cultivation method: Under the same cultivation conditions, wall-type imitation-wild cultivation can increase yield by 20%-30% compared with bag cultivation. This is because during imitation-wild cultivation, the soil contains the nutrients needed for the growth of reishi mushroom, and the soil has good water-holding capacity, which can provide suitable, continuous and stable moisture conditions for the growth of reishi mushroom. Moreover, the mycelium extends and grows through the soil and connects into one body, allowing it to exert its overall advantage.
Efficacy and effects of reishi mushroom
1. Improve sleep quality: Excessive workload and too much psychological pressure often plunge young people into the misery of insomnia and poor sleep quality, thereby seriously affecting work. It is suggested that young people with poor sleep quality can appropriately take a little reishi mushroom, and it is estimated that they can sleep well.
2. Protect the liver and detoxify: Reishi mushroom has a protective effect on liver damage caused by various physical, chemical and biological factors. Whether before or after liver damage occurs, taking reishi mushroom can protect the liver and reduce liver damage. Reishi mushroom can promote the liver's metabolism of drugs and toxins, and has a definite therapeutic effect on toxic hepatitis. Especially for chronic hepatitis, reishi mushroom can significantly eliminate symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, nausea and discomfort in the liver area, and can effectively improve liver function so that various indicators tend to normal. Therefore, reishi mushroom can be used to treat chronic poisoning, various types of chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver dysfunction.
3. Treat diabetes: The principle by which reishi mushroom lowers blood sugar is by promoting the tissue's use of sugar. After taking reishi mushroom, it can replace insulin in inhibiting the release of fatty acids and can improve symptoms such as blood sugar and urine sugar. The water-soluble polysaccharides in reishi mushroom can reduce the severity of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
Main producing areas of reishi mushroom
Reishi mushroom is native to eastern Asia, and in China it is most widely distributed in Jiangxi. Producing areas: it is cultivated in most parts of the country, and Mount Lu in the south is the most famous. Reishi mushroom is produced in Europe, the Americas, Africa and eastern Asia. It is widely distributed in our country, but more so south of the Yangtze River, distributed in the high-temperature and rainy zones south of the Yangtze River, specifically in the provinces of Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi.
The species of the Ganodermataceae in the world are mainly distributed in the tropical and subtropical zones of Asia, Australia, Africa and the Americas, with a few distributed in temperate zones. Europe, located in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere, has only 4 species of the genus Ganoderma, while North America has about 5 species. Our country spans from the tropics to the cold temperate zone, and the Ganodermataceae have many species and a wide distribution.
As people now know more and more about reishi mushroom and demand more and more of it, many people have taken a fancy to the market demand for reishi mushroom and have begun to plant reishi mushroom one after another. The market prospects for reishi mushroom are very good.
