Sharing Experience in Paddy Rice Field Cultivation and Management
Adapt to local conditions, manage scientifically, and increase yield per unit area. The following points should be well handled in rice cultivation and management.
1. Timely transplanting: the optimal period for field transplanting is from May 20 to June 10.
2. Standardized row planting and rational close planting: standardized line-pulled single-row planting is required, with rows oriented north-south, a plant-to-row spacing of 2×3 cun, single-row transplanting, even planting, and shallow transplanting, ensuring the basic number of seedlings per mu is within 80,000-100,000 seedlings.
3. Scientifically apply sufficient base fertilizer: in combination with land preparation, apply 1500-2000 kg of decomposed farmyard manure per mu as a full-layer deep application, and 15 kg of urea plus 20 kg of 30% ternary compound fertilizer as a middle-layer fertilizer application. About 6-10 days after the transplanted seedlings survive, in combination with weeding, apply 3-5 kg of urea per mu as a topdressing tillering fertilizer.
4. Timely chemical weeding: reasonably select herbicides; in combination with topdressing the tillering fertilizer, you may choose 75 ml of 60% butachlor plus 10 g of oxadiazon wettable powder, mix with 20 kg of fine soil and broadcast, or use 50% pretilachlor wettable powder mixed with soil and broadcast, which has a good effect on controlling barnyardgrass and sprangletop in rice fields. Drain the paddy field water 1 day before application, re-flood 1-2 days after application, and maintain a shallow water layer for 5-7 days.
5. Strengthen control of the three diseases: focus on the control of bakanae disease, rice false smut, and bacterial leaf blight. The specific methods are: throughout the entire growth management, if bakanae disease plants are found, they should be pulled out promptly and burned for disposal; for rice false smut, use 3 packets of validamycin per mu each time, diluted with 30 kg of water, and spray once each at the booting stage and the full heading stage for control; for bacterial leaf blight, at the early stage of field incidence and at the full heading stage, use 25% yekuning or longkejun diluted with water and spray for control.
6. Harvest at the appropriate time.
