For high wheat yields, spraying foliar fertilizer is key

General News By Sophie Bennett 0 views
After wheat flowering, it enters the critical period of yield formation. Spraying foliar fertilizer from flowering to the grain-filling stage can effectively increase yield and quality. I. Spraying methods 1. Spray multidimensional potassium dihydrogen phosphate. Use 100 grams of 99.5% multidimensional potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu, mix with 30 kg of water and spray evenly, once every week, spraying 2 to 3 times in succession. This can increase grain number, increase grain weight, promote grain filling, improve wheat's disease resistance and lodging resistance, prevent late-stage dry hot winds, and promote early maturity.

After wheat flowering, it enters the critical period of yield formation. Spraying foliar fertilizer from flowering to the grain-filling stage can effectively increase yield and quality.

I. Spraying methods

1. Spray multidimensional potassium dihydrogen phosphate  Use 100 grams of 99.5% multidimensional potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu, mix with 30 kg of water and spray evenly, once every week, spraying 2 to 3 times in succession. This can increase grain number, increase grain weight, promote grain filling, improve wheat's disease resistance and lodging resistance, prevent late-stage dry hot winds, and promote early maturity.

2. Spray plant ash extract  Take 5-10 kg of fresh plant ash that has not been rained on, add 100 kg of clean water and stir thoroughly, soak for 12-14 hours, then take the clear liquid and spray it. If 2% superphosphate extract is added and mixed for spraying, the effect is even better. Generally once every 7 to 10 days, spraying 2 to 3 times in succession. It can not only increase nutrients and promote plump grains, but also has a good effect in resisting disease, preventing insects, and preventing lodging.

3. Spray biogas slurry  Take biogas slurry that has undergone anaerobic fermentation for more than 45 days from the hydraulic chamber of the biogas digester, let it stand for 2-3 days, then spray with pure biogas slurry at 30 kg per mu. When the temperature is high, add an appropriate amount of clean water to dilute it before spraying, so as to avoid rapid evaporation increasing the concentration and burning the leaves. Generally once every 7 to 10 days, spraying more than 3 times in succession. It can play a good role in strengthening stems, preventing lodging, increasing yield, improving quality, and resisting disease and insects.

4. Spray boron at the flowering stage  At the wheat flowering stage, use 75-125 grams of borax per mu, add water to dilute to 50-75 kg, and spray on the leaves. It can accelerate floret development, promote pollen tube elongation, and increase the seed-setting rate and 1000-grain weight.

II. Precautions

1. When spraying, strive for evenness, with the leaves moist but not dripping as the ideal. The best time is before 9 a.m. and after 4 p.m., especially from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. For wheat fields with severe nutrient deficiency and poor soil moisture, or when dry hot winds occur during the fertilization period, the number of fertilizer sprays should be increased as appropriate. For wheat fields with pests and diseases, appropriate pesticides can be added to the fertilizer solution for combined control. When spraying fertilizer at the flowering stage, avoid the two flowering peaks from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., otherwise the pollen tubes will burst due to water absorption, affecting fertilization and seed setting, and leading to reduced yield.

2. Plant ash must be fully soaked so that the active ingredients are completely dissolved in the water before it can exert its yield-increasing effect. Never soak it and use it right away.

3. If rain occurs within 12 hours after spraying fertilizer, it should be sprayed again after the weather clears.
