Management Methods and Technical Key Points After the Persimmon Tree Fruits

Timely fertilization: When the fruit's transverse diameter reaches 4~5 cm and when the fruit size has basically become fixed, apply fruit-swelling fertilizer and pre-harvest fertilizer, mainly with quick-acting, quick-dissolving nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer. For fruiting trees over five years old, apply 1.5~2 kg of urea and 0.75~1 kg of monopotassium phosphate per tree, or apply 1~1.5 kg of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer, broadcast after rain, or mix with 60~80 kg of clean water and drench, or mix with 40~60 kg of decomposed manure water and drench, or dig a ring-shaped trench 20~30 cm deep and 20~30 cm wide around the tree canopy drip line and apply. Therefore, when the fruit's transverse diameter is 3~4 cm and 6~8 cm, spray once each time with an 800-fold aqueous solution of Shibingke, or a 1000-fold solution of 50% Supersol wettable powder. During the fruit ripening period, if there is damage from scale insects, then continuously spray 2~3 times with an 800~1500-fold aqueous solution of Jiesijing, or a 1000-fold aqueous solution of Supusha, for control. During the autumn shoot sprouting period, at the times when new shoots just begin to sprout, unfold leaves, and turn green, spray once each time with a mixture of 800-fold trichlorfon and 1000-fold dichlorvos to control various diseases and pests harming the new shoots.

Foliar topdressing: In the middle and late stages of persimmon tree fruiting, every 15 days or so, spray the foliage once with an 800-fold organic humic acid active liquid fertilizer of Gaomeishi, a 1500-fold mixed solution of strengthened Yunda-120, or a 500-fold mixed solution of plant vitality essence and a 2500-fold mixed solution of Yiwei yield-increasing bacteria, or a mixed solution of 0.1% magnesium sulfate, 0.2% urea, 0.3% monopotassium phosphate, and 500-fold Lüfeng 95, continuously spraying 3~5 times, evenly wetting all branches, leaves, and fruit, until water droplets begin to drip.
