Management points for bagging peaches in peach tree cultivation
1. Bagging time. Combine with fruit thinning; bag as soon as the fruit is set. Orchards with peach fruit borer damage must be bagged before the peach fruit borer lays eggs.
2. Bagging targets. Mainly for mid-season and late-season varieties, especially late-season varieties, such as Bayuecui, Guoguangmi, Chushuhong, Hongxuetao, etc. Generally, extremely early and early varieties are not bagged.
3. Fruit bag selection. ① Homemade fruit bags. When economic conditions are limited or bag purchase conditions are insufficient, waste newspapers can be used to make homemade fruit bags. Ordinary white thin plastic food bags of different sizes can also be purchased according to the size of the peaches to be bagged; after purchase, punch 12 ventilation holes in the bag surface, and cut a small drainage hole at each of the two corners of the bag. ② Purchase special plastic bags or paper bags for peaches.
4. Bag removal time. For fresh-eating peaches and nectarines, paper bags can be removed 7-10 days before harvest; white thin plastic bags do not need to be removed because they do not affect coloring, and the fruit is picked together with the bag at harvest.
5. Bagging precautions. ① Leaves that affect bagging must all be removed; do not bag the leaves inside the bag. ② Before bagging, spray the whole orchard once with a pesticide for pest and disease control.
6. Main supporting measures. ① Before fruit bagging, do a good job of flower and fruit thinning. ② Before fruit bagging, spray once to control pests and diseases. ③ During the fruit expansion stage, the initial coloring stage, and 15 days before harvest, spraying once each with 400 times Wandefu or 500 times Aopuer liquid fertilizer can significantly improve fruit color, increase yield, and improve quality.
