Key Management Techniques for Greenhouse Peach Trees Before Dormancy
Forced dormancy of greenhouse peach trees by covering with a shed is generally carried out from mid-October to mid-November. The management in the 10 days before covering the shed for forced dormancy is very important; poor management directly affects the increase in fruit set rate, yield and quality. The key management measures for this period are as follows:
Foliar fertilizer spraying: 10 days before forced dormancy, spray the leaves with a high-concentration urea solution of 3% to 5%, and add sticking agents and penetrating agents, such as Zengxiao Jiangjun and Texiao Wang, so that the tree body quickly absorbs a certain amount of nutrients, laying a good foundation for later bud break and expansion and peach blossom blooming. Spraying should be done at 4 p.m., and care should be taken to spray evenly and thoroughly.
Increasing base fertilizer: Increasing base fertilizer should be done 9 days before dormancy. Greenhouse peach trees have a longer growth period than open-field peach trees, so the amount and frequency of fertilization should also be increased. Apply 4000 kg of organic fertilizer per mu. The amount of chemical fertilizer applied should be half of the annual application amount, 0.2 kg per tree, with a nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ratio of 10:3~4:13~16. Chemical fertilizer can be spread first and then coarse fertilizer applied, with deep turning of 10?15 cm. It can also be applied in trenches. Open a trench between two rows of peach trees (half the row spacing, 1 to 1.2 m), 10 to 15 cm deep and 20 cm wide. After deep application, bury it firmly and compact it.
Watering: On the third day after fertilization, water thoroughly, but not too heavily. Then cover well with plastic film. After that, it is only necessary to water once each during the young fruit stage, stone hardening stage and maturity stage, which can meet the peach tree's water needs.
Covering with plastic film: On the 3rd day after watering, that is, the third day before peach tree dormancy, cover with black plastic film whose width is equal to the peach tree row spacing. Press soil firmly over the joints between films, or insert fine branches firmly at the edges of the film to prevent wind from blowing the film up.
Stripping leaves: 2 days before dormancy, strip leaves upward from the base of each branch. For leaves that were not well controlled by chemical regulation in summer or are relatively tender and cannot be stripped off, gently pinch them off so that not a single leaf remains. After stripping, clear the leaves out of the shed and bury them deeply.
Spraying pesticides: After stripping the leaves, pesticides can be sprayed. The main peach tree diseases also include shot hole disease, scab, gummosis, etc. Spray 100 times 65% zineb or 50% asomate or 9281. The main insect pests are spider mites, aphids, leaf miners, etc. Spray 800 to 1000 times dilution of Nongchongbi for control. Fungicides and insecticides should be sprayed evenly on the trunk and branches of peach trees to reduce sources of disease and pest infection.
