Applying biogas fertilizer to pear trees works well; growers may want to give it a try

Using biogas fertilizer to grow pears results in good flower bud differentiation, neat shoot sprouting, thick green leaves, uniform fruit, good glossiness and high sweetness, strengthens tree vigor, enhances the pear tree's resistance to ring rot disease and black heart disease, increases per-unit yield by 10%, and saves 50% on fertilizer investment. For young pear trees, apply once a month

For young pear trees, apply biogas fertilizer once a month, with 10kg of biogas slurry per tree each time, and add 10kg of deeply applied biogas residue per tree for the spring shoot fertilizer. For adult fruiting trees, fertilizer is determined by yield, with base fertilizer as the main component. Base fertilizer accounts for 80% of the total annual fertilizer application, generally applied during the dormant period of pear trees in early spring, by digging radial trenches around the trunk, applying 50-100kg of biogas residue per tree, supplemented with 250g of compound fertilizer, and covering with soil after application. Pre-flowering fertilizer is applied 10-15 days before flowering, with 50kg of biogas slurry per tree plus 50g of urea, broadcast on the root zone. The first application of fruit-strengthening fertilizer is 1 month after flowering, with 30kg of biogas residue or 50kg of biogas slurry per tree, plus 100g of compound fertilizer, applied deeply in trenches. The second application is two months after flowering, with the same amount and method as the first. Recovery fertilizer is applied after fruit harvest, with 30kg of biogas slurry per tree plus 50g of urea, broadcast on the root zone. Post-harvest fertilizer application should avoid triggering autumn shoot and autumn bud growth.

When growing pears with biogas fertilizer, chemical fertilizer and other organic fertilizers should be appropriately supplemented. An adult fruiting tree needs 300kg of biogas fertilizer to meet its nutritional needs; combining root application with foliar feeding gives better results.
