Causes of and Solutions for Curled Leaves on the Peace Lily Tree
1. Water
Both too much and too little water can cause its leaves to curl, so we first need to carefully check whether the soil is wet or dry. If it is wet, we should put it in the sun to dry out. If it is too dry, we need to water it, and be sure to water it thoroughly. In addition, we can mix beer with water and drench it, but do not add too much. This is because beer contains some things that benefit it, but too much is not good. When the temperature is relatively high, we should spray the leaves with water; only this way can we effectively prevent its leaves from curling, and if they have already curled, we should fix it in the same way.
2. Light
When the light is relatively weak, the leaves will also curl! This is because it is a light-loving plant, and lacking light is like losing its own food, so we should put it in the sun or in a place with good light.
3. Pests
If there are pests or diseases, its leaves will also curl. It is generally scale insects that cause the damage, so we need to take certain measures to kill these insects. The usual method is to soak laundry detergent in water, needing roughly a 400 to 600 times dilution of the liquid. In addition, we can also use certain sprays, but they are not very suitable indoors because the smell is quite strong. Besides this, leaf-roller worms are also a major cause of curling. We can use trichlorfon crystals, with a concentration of 90 percent and a liquid dilution of 800 times. In addition, we can also take other approaches, such as using dimethoate emulsifiable concentrate, though the concentration for this is 40 percent and the liquid dilution is 1,000 times.
4. Ventilation
Ventilation is also needed, because without ventilation, its leaves may curl.
