Key Technical Points for Flower and Fruit Retention and Post-Bloom Management of Persimmon Trees

General News By Sophie Bennett 0 views
Persimmon is a berry-type fruit of the Ebenaceae family (persimmon family). Its ripening season is around October. The fruits come in many shapes, such as spherical, oblate, nearly conical, and square. Depending on the variety, the color ranges from light orange-yellow to deep orange-red, the size ranges from 2 cm to 10 cm, and the weight ranges from 100 g

Persimmon is a berry-type fruit of the Ebenaceae family (persimmon family). Its ripening season is around October. The fruits come in many shapes, such as spherical, oblate, and nearly conical’square. Depending on the variety, the color ranges from light orange-yellow to deep orange-red, the size ranges from 2 cm to 10 cm, and the weight ranges from 100 g to 350 g. Its place of origin is China, and it has a cultivation history of more than one thousand years. Persimmon trees are light-loving crops, and in dense planting cultivation, attention should be paid to solving ventilation and light penetration. This is a main measure in high-yield management. Persimmon trees bear fruit from axillary buds, so thinning out vigorous long branches and strengthening the accumulation of branch and trunk nutrients are very important. Before blooming, attention should be paid to applying amino acids to the trunk to promote flower bud differentiation, overcome alternate bearing, and promote early fruiting of the tree, which are the key tasks.

In response to infectious disease spots on persimmon tree branches and trunks such as trunk blight, angular leaf spot, and anthracnose, fruit growers are advised to prevent and control them through the following measures. 1. Apply 1 jin of Meinongxin multi-element or 1 jin of silicon-calcium-magnesium-potassium fertilizer per tree to restore vigorous growth. 2. When applying amino acids to the trunk, Ningnanmycin or Beibo can also be added. The method is to prepare Ningnanmycin or Beibo into a 50-fold solution and mix it with amino acids to coat the trunk.

Flower and fruit retention measures: 1. When one third of the flowers are open, spray “Yunda Whole Tree Fruit” at 600 times + Fulu Boron at 1000 times, and spray again after an interval of 3-5 days. 2. When one third of the flowers are open, begin spraying “Baofengling” at 600 times + Fulu Boron at 1000 times, and spray again after an interval of 3-5 days.

Post-bloom plan for preventing angular leaf spot, anthracnose, and round spot disease. 1. Kejunjing at 2000 times + Fuwanjia at 800 times + Jinke at 1500 times; 2. Iprodione at 6000 times + Haierfeng at 800 times + Zhengshuai at 1500 times; 3. Beibo (or Ningnanmycin) at 800 times + Fuwanjia at 800 times + Jinsheng at 1500 times; 4. 70% Haili-produced thiophanate-methyl at 1000 times + Yunda 120 (1500 times) + Kajie at 800 times; 5. Cuibei at 7500 times + Fuwanjia at 800 times + Yunda Anzhi at 1500 times. Spraying Cuibei once can effectively control the infection and occurrence of pathogens for 60 days, and spraying it on branches and trunks can effectively prevent the occurrence of trunk rot, anthracnose, and angular leaf spot.
