How to grow narcissus so it blooms more? A few practical care tips for you
1. Water
When we buy the narcissus we need, we can take a look right away; at this point the narcissus actually has short shoots, and at the base of these shoots there are protruding things, and these are what determine exactly how many flowers it will produce. Of course, if it is already very long when we buy it, it is even easier to tell exactly how many flowers the narcissus will produce. If we want the flowers to bloom well, the first thing to control is its water. We should frequently replace the previous water, so that the water supplied to it is rich in nutrients, and it will produce more flowers. In addition, we can also sprinkle some water on its leaves, and this maintenance effect is also quite good.
2. Hormones
Actually, we can give it some quite useful things, such as "chlormequat", which is something that can supplement nutrients and promote its flowering; in this way, we can also control the growth of the narcissus, keeping it from growing too fast while still growing strong. In addition, we can also use the commonly available aspirin and soak it in the narcissus water.
3. Increasing the temperature
We can also adopt a series of warming methods, such as sunlight, lamplight, electric heaters and warm water. The specific way for the first is to put it in a sunny place; the second requires putting a plastic cover over the flowerpot and then turning on a light to shine on it, as long as the temperature inside the cover reaches 23 degrees. The electric heater method is to use it or a hair dryer to blow at it, and then be sure to remember not to scald it. As for the last method, its temperature needs to be kept between 12°C and 15°C, and that will work.
4. Salt
If we put salt into a narcissus that has already bloomed, its flowering time will be greatly extended; we must not put salt in before it has bloomed, as that will instead make it produce fewer flowers.
