This plant blooms in spring. Amid the revival of all things in spring, it is not particularly unusual, yet it still blooms gorgeously. Its color is golden yellow, its flowering period is in spring, and its name comes from this as well. Because it is especially elegant, its bearing is extremely striking, its adaptability is especially strong, and on top of that it is a flower that welcomes spring and carries an extremely good symbolic meaning, everyone loves it very much. Nowadays more and more people are growing this plant, but after enjoying its flowers, everyone falls into confusion again: how exactly should it be handled after it finishes blooming?

1. Pruning

Winter jasmine actually has its own characteristics when it blooms. If there are no special circumstances, it will grow flower buds and then bloom vigorously in the next year's flowering period. Of course, what we need to consider is not only this year's blooming. We hope it can bloom for a long time, so we should prune it appropriately, so that the flowers will bloom even better the following year. After the flowers bloom, the measure we take is to cut the flowering branches short, so that the side branches will grow faster, the flowers will bloom more abundantly and appear everywhere, and next year's flowering period will be something to look forward to immensely.

2. Fertilizing

In addition to pruning after flowering, we should also supplement with fertilizing. What we should use is base fertilizer, or cake fertilizer. Besides that, we should also apply manure once every half month. In addition, phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer should also be applied when necessary, because only after pruning and adding fertilizer after flowering can the branches grow faster and in greater number.

3. Planting

If we want to transplant winter jasmine into a pot, we should also choose to do it after the flowers bloom. Of course, we can also transplant it in mid-September. Transplanting has low requirements for soil, and if there is fertile soil, that is even better. In addition, if we want to cultivate a root-exposed style flower, then we should raise the roots when planting, but we must grasp the right degree, because if it is too high, it is not good for growth. Choosing a pot is also an art, because its own color is a vivid yellow. For harmony, the pot we choose is best in a color that coordinates with it, such as light blue or black.

4. Temperature

After flowering, we should maintain the temperature well. The temperature it needs is 8°C. In addition, do not let wind blow directly on it, as this way the flowering period will be longer. Generally speaking, if the temperature is higher, its flowering period will be shorter and the flowers will fade faster, so be sure to pay attention to controlling it.
