How to increase cucumber yield? Four methods to significantly boost growing profits
Cucumber is a vegetable and fruit with high nutritional value, and the skin of the cucumber is rich in nutrients. At present, because the cucumber market is very good, more and more people are growing it, so only by continuously improving the growing profits of cucumbers can you establish yourself in the cucumber growing industry for the long term.
Vine lowering position
In cucumber growing, the vine lowering position of the cucumber vines is one aspect that requires relatively more attention. If the vines are placed correctly and distributed reasonably, the cucumber yield can be greatly increased, so in order for cucumbers to be grown and produced better, the vine lowering position of the vines should generally be about 45-50 cm above the ground, and the leaves of each cucumber plant should also be kept at about 15-17 leaves. Because if the position is reasonable, it will be more convenient to manage the fruit when the cucumbers form later.
Apply biological fertilizer
Because in cucumber growing, its root capacity is relatively well developed and it is distributed widely and deeply in the soil. Whether cucumbers can grow healthily in the later stage has a great relationship with whether their roots are healthy, so when we grow cucumbers, we should add some biological bacterial fertilizer to the soil. This can reduce the rate of soil-borne disease transmission, and can also improve the nutrients and moisture of the cucumber plants, promoting healthy cucumber production.
Harvest at the appropriate time
The harvest time of cucumbers is also very important, because cucumbers can set fruit again after picking and can be harvested multiple times. The time to harvest cucumbers cannot be too early or too late, because cucumbers harvested too early have less juice and the quantity will not be very large. Cucumbers harvested too late will have thicker skin and the whole fruit will also be thicker, so the quality will not be good. Therefore, cucumbers that grow about one week after flower dipping can generally be harvested. If the harvest time is not good, it will affect the growth of new cucumbers, so they should be harvested at the appropriate time.
Keep fruit reasonably
Because the stem and leaf growth of cucumbers is relatively weak, after large cucumbers are picked, the ability of cucumbers to absorb nutrients is poor, and only by keeping fruit reasonably can their nutrition and growth be balanced. If too many cucumbers are kept, the cucumbers will be curved after forming, and such cucumbers are caused by a lack of nutrients. If too few cucumbers are kept, it will affect the yield, so you can keep one cucumber for about every three to five leaves. In this way, cucumbers can absorb nutrients normally, and it can also prevent the phenomenon of cucumbers becoming curved due to too few nutrients.
