Ganoderma lucidum cultivation methods and timing: environmental temperature and humidity are key
AbstractThe cultivation methods of Ganoderma lucidum mainly include the bag cultivation method and the log cultivation method. Bag cultivation method: in the south, inoculation can be done from February to March or from late August to early September each year; in the north, inoculation can be done from March to April. Log cultivation method: the inoculation time is generally from early December each year to late January of the following year.
1. Cultivation methods of Ganoderma lucidum
1. The cultivation methods of Ganoderma lucidum mainly include the bag cultivation method and the log cultivation method.
2. Artificial cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum involves directly inoculating the mycelium isolated from the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum onto logs or other artificial culture media, where it further grows and develops into a fruiting body.
3. The artificial cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies is mainly divided into two stages
(1) The first stage is selecting excellent strains and expanding the culture of the strains. Expanding the culture of the strains means multiplying a small amount of strain to the quantity of strain needed for cultivating fruiting bodies.
(2) The second stage is fruiting body cultivation, that is, inoculating the strain onto an artificial culture medium, culturing it under certain conditions, until the fruiting body grows, develops, matures and is harvested.
2. Bag cultivation method
Principle: Wild Ganoderma lucidum grows on trees all year round, so artificial log cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies emerged. Over the years, due to the needs of economic development, resources have been continuously destroyed, leading to a massive shortage of logs. Some people found that logs and branches could be used to replace logs for cultivation, which likewise requires a certain amount of wood, and on this basis substitute material cultivation was further developed, also called the bag cultivation method.
1. The method of replacing logs to cultivate Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies is to put plant or crop waste materials such as sawdust, dried sugarcane bagasse, gypsum powder, calcium carbonate, wheat bran, corn stalks, cottonseed hulls, mushroom grass, sugar and other raw materials, about 400g, into specially made polyethylene or polypropylene plastic bags to prepare the culture material.
2. Seal the plastic bag, sterilize it under high pressure for two hours or under normal pressure for ten hours, and after it cools, it can be moved into the culture room for operation.
3. Disinfect it with ultraviolet light and aerosol disinfectant, then inoculate separately in the inoculation box.
4. Arrange them in sequence on the culture rack, shade them from light, and wait for mycelium growth. Only under suitable conditions of temperature, humidity, light and so on will Ganoderma lucidum grow fruiting bodies.
5. Keep the room temperature at about 20-25°C, and artificially raise the temperature appropriately when necessary.
6. After about two months, the Ganoderma lucidum strain grows mycelium in the culture medium, covering the entire culture medium, thus completing bag cultivation.
Summary: The bag cultivation method is simple and convenient, with high yield, and also saves the expense of wood, protecting both the ecology and the environment. However, Ganoderma lucidum cultivated with bag material is light in weight, looks green and immature on the surface, tastes slightly bitter, and deforms when dried. Compared with log-grown Ganoderma lucidum, its color and quality are poorer, its quality is also lower, its medicinal effect is poor, and pesticide and heavy metal residues easily exceed the standard.
3. Log cultivation method of Ganoderma lucidum
1. The method of log cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum is also very simple. First, artificially treat the logs by sterilization and disinfection, then extract the mycelium from the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum and inoculate the strain onto them, and the logs will be covered with mycelium.
2. Cultivate them in the same growing environment as the bag cultivation method, and wait for the mycelium to grow Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies.
Summary: Compared with the bag cultivation method, although the log cultivation method of Ganoderma lucidum does not grow as fast as bag cultivation, log cultivation is more natural in growth and will not have problems with pesticide and chemical fertilizer residues. The Ganoderma lucidum produced is large in size and heavy in weight, looks good in appearance, and the price is slightly higher.
4. Cultivation time of Ganoderma lucidum
1. For the bag cultivation method, if in the south, inoculation can be done from February to March or from late August to early September each year; if in the north, inoculation can be done from March to April; while for the log cultivation method, the inoculation time is generally from early December each year to late January of the following year
2. Ganoderma lucidum belongs to a type of fungus that is constant-temperature and medium-to-high-temperature loving. In a natural wild environment, Ganoderma lucidum will choose suitable growing conditions for itself. According to the cultivation methods of Ganoderma lucidum, the entire cultivation time requires about two months.
3. In fact, artificial cultivation technology is already very advanced at present, and it can basically flexibly create the suitable growth characteristics for Ganoderma lucidum and provide light and temperature for it. Therefore, if the technology is mature, it is not necessary to deliberately choose a fixed time for planting. No matter what season, as long as a suitable living environment can be provided for Ganoderma lucidum, it can grow normally.
