Leafy vegetables are an essential source of vitamins in daily life, and many people grow them, so how are leafy vegetable diseases treated?

There are many kinds of leafy vegetable diseases, such as anthracnose, downy mildew, black spot, and so on, and the control methods for different diseases are not exactly the same; targeted chemical agents plus field management can be used for treatment.

1. Anthracnose

When a crop suffers from anthracnose, the specific symptoms are: the center of the leaf lesion is white with brown edges, and in the later stage it easily breaks and perforates; the lesion on the petiole is brown and sunken.

Control method: in the early stage, agents such as azoxystrobin, zineb + difenoconazole, or difenoconazole + prochloraz can be used for control. In addition, in the field, attention should be paid to timely drainage and ventilation.

2. Downy mildew

The specific symptoms of downy mildew are: in the early stage of the disease, light yellow nearly round to polygonal lesions form on the leaf surface, and it is prone to concurrence with angular leaf spot; when the air is humid, a frost-like mold layer forms on the underside of the leaf and sometimes can spread to the leaf surface. In the later stage, the lesions die and merge into patches, appearing yellowish brown; in severe cases, all outer leaves wither and die.

Control method: when the disease is mild, dilute HILOT Kai Shuang at 400-600 times and spray, applying once every 5-7 days; when the disease is more severe, spray HILOT Kai Shuang at 100-300 times, applying once every 3 days; the specific number of applications depends on the disease condition.

3. Black spot

The specific symptoms of black spot are: in the early stage of the disease, reddish brown to purplish brown small spots appear on the leaf surface, gradually expanding into round or irregular dark black lesions; there is often a yellow halo around the lesions, the edges are radial, and the lesion diameter is about 3-15 mm. In the later stage, small black dots are scattered on the lesions.

Control method: agents such as mancozeb + bromothalonil, captan + procymidone, and thiram + iprodione can be used for control.
