What pesticides are generally used to control pests and diseases in cucumbers?
Cucumber is one of the common vegetables; it is currently widely cultivated throughout China, and many regions have greenhouse or plastic tunnel cultivation. So, what pesticides are generally used for cucumbers?
Cucumbers generally do not need pesticide treatment; if pests or diseases occur, then the corresponding pesticides need to be used for control. Its main diseases include downy mildew, gray mold, powdery mildew, viral disease, bacterial angular leaf spot, etc., and its main pests include root-knot nematodes, whiteflies, etc., which can be controlled by spraying the corresponding pesticides.
1. Downy mildew: In the early stage of the disease, spray with 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 500 times dilution; when the disease is more severe, spray with 58% metalaxyl·mancozeb wettable powder at 500 times dilution, or 69% dimethomorph·mancozeb wettable powder at 800 times dilution, spraying once every 7 days, for 2-3 consecutive treatments.
2. Gray mold: In the early stage of the disease, pesticides such as 50% iprodione wettable powder at 1500 times dilution, 2.5% azoxystrobin wettable powder at 600 times dilution, 50% limomycin at 500 times dilution, 25% azoxystrobin suspension concentrate at 1500 times dilution, etc. can be used, applying once every 6-7 days, for 3-4 consecutive treatments.
3. Powdery mildew: During the overwintering period, spray or brush the branches and trunk with diluted lime sulfur mixture at 3 to 5 degrees Baume; before the disease occurs, protective agents can be sprayed, and after the disease occurs, systemic agents should be sprayed; when the disease is prevalent, pesticides such as 20% tetrafluoro.pyrazolate, 15% triadimefon at 1000 times dilution, 2% antimycin aqueous solution at 200 times dilution, 10% polyoxin at 1000 to 1500 times dilution, etc. can be sprayed, used alternately.
4. Viral disease: In the early stage of the disease, spray with 20% dukexing at 500 times dilution, or 20% virus A at 500 times dilution, once every 7 days.
5. Bacterial angular leaf spot: In the early stage of the disease, pesticides such as streptomycin at 5000 times dilution, 30% copper fatty acid (DT bactericide) wettable powder at 500 times dilution, 77% keshade wettable powder at 400 times dilution, 47% jiaruinong wettable powder at 600-800 times dilution, etc. can be used, used alternately, spraying once every 7-10 days, for 3-4 consecutive sprays.
6. Root-knot nematodes: Disinfect the soil; before planting, apply 80 kg of lime nitrogen per mu combined with deep plowing; disinfect the soil with 1.8% abamectin emulsifiable concentrate at 1-1.5 ml per sq m diluted in 6 liters of water, or apply 4-6 kg of 3% miloer granules per mu mixed with 50 kg of dry fine soil and broadcast; during the growing period, drench the roots 1-2 times with 1.8% abamectin emulsifiable concentrate at 1000-1500 times dilution, with an interval of 10-15 days.
7. Whiteflies: In the early stage of occurrence, pesticides such as 10% imidacloprid at 400-600 times dilution, 10% buprofezin emulsifiable concentrate at 1000 times dilution, 25% buprofezin emulsifiable concentrate at 1500 times dilution, etc. can be sprayed, which can kill eggs, nymphs, and adults, generally once every 5-7 days, for 2-3 consecutive sprays. Pesticides such as 25% pyridaben emulsifiable concentrate at 1000 times dilution, 50% kejianing emulsifiable concentrate at 1500 times dilution, 2.5% tianwangxing emulsifiable concentrate at 2000 times dilution, 21% mieshabi at 3000 times dilution, etc. can also be used, once every 5-7 days, for 3-4 consecutive sprays.
