Introduction to the characteristics of the Cymbidium ensifolium variety Xiarui Ding (Xiaotian Die)
The new famous Sichuan Cymbidium ensifolium variety "Xiarui Ding (Xiaotian Die)" was discovered in Qianwei County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. The quantity is extremely small, and the flower form is dignified and stable with no variability. It belongs to the true three-star butterfly type, with large spots and bright colors. Because the flower opens facing the sky, it is named "Xiaotian Die" (Laughing-at-the-sky Butterfly), and it can rival Chuichui! Compared with Emei Sanxing, its leaves are wider, the flowers are larger and taller, and a strong seedling bears a leaf butterfly on every shoot. The butterfly leaves are beautiful, the plant type is short and sturdy, and the butterfly-transformed heart leaves are fish-belly shaped. The longest leaf does not exceed 35CM in height, and it generally bears 3 to 5 flowers. In 2009, the renowned orchid grower Mr. Zhou Bo saw that this flower was beautiful and perfect, and it is indeed the leader of the Cymbidium ensifolium three-star type.
