Yu Jianrong: Internet Plus Agriculture Should Benefit Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers
Because of the inequality between rural e-commerce consumption and export sales, the dividends of e-commerce development have failed to benefit "agriculture, rural areas and farmers." Moreover, inequality also exists between internet oligopolies and small businesses, and rural e-commerce seems to be gradually becoming the new favorite of internet oligopolies. Therefore, the government should lead the construction of networked rural e-commerce platforms, form economies of scale, open up the channel market, and reduce transaction costs; break the unequal state between rural e-commerce consumption and export sales, and extend the dividends of e-commerce development to rural areas, agriculture and farmers. In the process of leading the construction of these platforms, the government should provide more services and less regulation.
